Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Antioch church with Rev. H. S. Smith officiating, interment was made in the church yard cemetery. She is survived by two sons; Mr. W. A. Franklin and Mr. F. A. Franklin, both of Thomaston; one daughter, Mrs. L. T. Woodall, Thomaston. Two sisters, Mrs. W. E. Thurmond, Atlanta and Mrs. Sallie Hamlin, Barnesville and a number of grand children and great grand children. C. M. Pasley & Son. Additional Comments: Mattie Means Franklin was born ca 1854, the daughter of James Anderson Means and Elizabeth Ann (Allen) Means. She married Willis Craft Franklin on 23 November 1871.
