C. ("Major") Franklin, who would have reached the age of 80 in June, died at his residence near Thomaston Saturday, April 12, following an illness of several weeks duration. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Barton, of The Rock, at Antioch Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment was made in the Antioch church cemetery. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. L. T. Woodall and Mrs. Robert Mallory; three sons, Otis, W. A. and Alton, and one sister, Mrs. F. M. Garner, all of Thomaston. Additional Comments: Willis Craft Franklin was born 13 June 1850. He married Martha Ann Means on 23 November 1871.
