Final Rites Held For George Fortson, 77
Funeral services for George A. Fortson, 77, were held Wednesday, March 23 at 2 
p.m. from the Chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Davis, Jr. 
and Rev. Carl Hemphill officiating.  Burial was in Upson Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fortson died Tuesday, March 22 at his home at 1812 Barnesville Road.  He 
was a retired employee of BF Goodrich Textile Products, Martha Mills and was a 
member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church.  Mr. Fortson, a native of Fulton County, 
resided in Upson County since 1942.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Gilbert Fortson, two daughters;  Mrs. 
Maude Fortson Adams, Talbotton, Mrs. Jeanette F. Russell, Thomaston, ten 
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.
