Fowler, 89, were held Sunday, February 13 at 3 o'clock at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Harold Smith, Rev. W. C. Bowen and Rev. Robert Akins officiating. Burial was in South View Cemetery with Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Fowler died Friday, February 11 at the Upson County Hospital. He resided at 107 Hill Street and was a retired retail clerk having been associated with Lewis Brothers Store, Watson's Dry Goods Store, Perdue's Store, O.W. Jones & Son Hardware, Singer's and the Yellow Front Store. Mr. Fowler was member of the First United Methodist Church and the Olive Camp of the Woodman of the World. He was a native of Meriwether County for 70 years. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Brantley, Thomaston, two sisters; Mrs. Mattie Brown, Griffin, Miss Elsie Fowler, Macon, three brothers; Marvin Fowler, Woodbury, Eddie Fowler, Raleigh, Aldine Fowler, Griffin, two grandchildren and four grat grandchildren also survive.
