G. Fallin Killed By Lightning Tuesday May 5, 1933 H. Greeley Fallin, age 53, a farmer who lived about five miles north of Thomaston in the Atwater District, was killed instantly, by lightening Tuesday afternoon about 3:30 o'clock in a field near his home. Mr. Fallin was walking across the field when a bolt of lightening struck him and a small gum tree about 20 feet from him. One of his sons was playing about 100 yards distant and witnessed the tragedy. Mr. Fallin is survived by his widow, four sons, Horace, Harvey, Harrison and K. P. Fallin; four Brothers, William E., A. C., J. A. and Holley Fallin and one sister, Mrs. Rosie Jackson, all of Upson County. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Valley Grove Church, with rev. J. H.
