Dear Otis, you have left us and your smiles we see no more; And our hearts are filled with sadness, for no one can heal that sore, More and more each day we miss you, Tho' friends all think the wound is healed, But they little know the sorrow that is in our hearts concealed, We often sit and think of you, dear Daddy when we are all alone. For Memory is the only friend that grief can call its own. What is home without you, Daddy , all the things a world may send ? For when we lost you, we lost our Dearest friend. You wore the crown of patience through those days you struggled, And those loving hands that rest for- ever are the hands that made our home. Safe and bright the stars are shining spreading o'er a lonely grave, where lies the one loved so dearly And whom we tried so hard, but could not save. Mrs. Otis Fullerton.
