Cora Jimmerson, 89
Mrs. Cora P. Jimmerson, 89, of 940 Gordon School Road was dead on arrival at 
Upson County Hospital on Sunday, May 3, 1987.  The funeral was held in Coggins 
Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, with Rev. Ed Pitts and Rev. Neal Hager 
officiating.  Inerment was in Valley Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Jimmerson had been an Upsonian all her life.
She is survived by four daughters;  Mrs. Lucille McGouirk, Mrs. Mary Barfoot, 
Mrs. Johnnie Yarbrough, and Mrs. Sallie Ellington, all of Thomaston, one son, 
Peugh Jimmerson of Thomaston, two sisters;  Mrs. Lois Tanksley, and Mrs. Essie 
White, both of Jacksonville, Fla. and 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren 
and 2 great greatgrandchidlren also survive.
