Final Rites May 21 for J. Lee Jean, 58
Funeral services for J. Lee Jean, age 58, of West Allen Lane, Pinewood 
Subdivision, were held Tuesday, May 21, at 11:00 in the Chapel of Pasley-
Fletcher Funeral Home. Rev. Rocky Culpepper and Rev. Jay Knight officiated and 
burial was in Shawowlawn Cemetery of LaGrange at 1:00 Tuesday.
Mr. Jean was dead on arrival Saturday night, May 18, at Upson County Hospital.  
He was a native of Troup County, but had resided in Upson County five years and 
was a cotton classer at the Martha Mills Division of the BF Goodrich Company.  
He was a Navy veteran of World War 11.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Farmer Jean, two daughters;  Mrs. 
Pamela Gutt of Atlanta, Miss Nancy Jean of Augusta, one son, Richard Lee Jean 
of Macon, his mother, Mrs. Susie McKee Jean of LaGrange, three brothers;  
Marvin H. Jean of LaGrange, Harold Jean of Atlanta, and Horace Jean of 
Cordovia, Ala., one grandson, David Michael Gutt of Atlanta.
