Final Rites Held Sept. 29 for Eddie Fortner, 23
Edwin "Eddie" Kelly Fortner, 23, of Aviation Drive, died in a truck accident 
September 27 in Americus.  He was a native of Upson County and a truck driver 
for Keadle Lumber Co. of Thomaston.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Theresa Fortner, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Ferrell Fortner, Thomaston, two step-daughters;  Nikki Hammond and Lani Bowles 
of Thomaston, two brothers, Donnie Fortner of Barnesville and Mike Fortner of 
Thomaston, three sisters;  Mrs. Darline Gasettt, Mrs. Melody Thompson, Miss 
Nina Fortner, all of Thomaston, grandmothers;  Mrs. Lois Matthews and Mrs. Nina 
Fortner , both of Thomaston.
Graveside services wre held Sept. 29 at Shiloh Church Cemetery.  Rev. Herbert 
Torbert of Barnesville officiated.  Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
