W. J. Franklin, Jr.
Mr. W. J. Franklin, Jr. 81, of Zebulon died Monday afternoon, Dec. 31, 1984 at 
Providence Nursing Home.  Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, 
Jan. 2, 1985, in Zebulon United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert L. 
Reynolds officiating and the Rev. James Sanders assisting.  Burial was in the 
church cemetery.
A native of Pike County, Mr. Franklin was a graduate of Emory University and 
attended the University of Georgia.  He was a retired rural letter carrier from 
the Zebulon Post Office.  During World War 11 he was a member of the Pike 
County Selective Service Board.  He was past president of the Pike County Lions 
Club and the Zebulon Parent Teachers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Sue Milner Franklin of Zebulon, and one 
son, Mr. William W. Franklin of Jackson, Miss.
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
