Gheraltine Knox Holland
Funeral ervices will be held Tuesday afternoon, June 21, 1983 at 2 p.m. for 
Mrs. Gheraltine Knox Holland, 79, of 705 Greenwood Road.  Services will be 
conducted in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Harold Smith officiating 
and Rev. W. C. Bowen assisting.  Pasley-Fletcher Home will be in charge of the 
arrangements.  Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
A native of Chattooga County, Mrs. Holland had been a resident of Upson County 
since 1913.  She died Sunday night, June 19, 1983 at Upson County Hospital.  
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she served as 
Sunday school teacher and treasurer of the United Metodist Women for 25 years.  
She was a past regent of the John Houstoun Chapter of the Daughters of the 
American Revolution.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Emory B. Holland of Thomaston, two nieces, 
Mrs. Charles L. Earwood, Jr., of Atlanta, and Mrs. Becky A. Devaney of Houston, 
Tx., two nephews;  Mr. Knox H. Hancock of St. Augustine, Fla., and Mr. Lee H. 
Knox of Fripp Island, S.C.
