On Friday morning about 1 o'clock, Sept. the 11th, Mrs. S. P. Hancock of Sycamore, after a few days of illness departed this life. She was a kind loving wife, a devoted mother and esteemed friend to all that knew her.
        Before her marriage she was a Miss Brown of Upson County. She was a member of the Baptist church and tried to lead a Christian life. Besides her husband she leaves to mourn her several children and a host of friends and relatives. To each and all of them, as well as the lonely husband, we extend our sympathy and condolence.
