Don Hammons and Rev. L. E. Smith officiating. Burial was in South View Cemetery with Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Haney died Monday at the Upson County Hospital. She was a retired employee of B. F. Goodrich Textile Products, Martha Mills and resided on Route 3, Crest Highway. Mrs. Haney, a native Upsonian, was a member of the East Thomaston Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Roy Haney; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Slaughter, Thomaston; Mrs. Lizzie Sewell, College Park. Romania DANIEL HANEY b. April 5, 1909 d. November 22, 1976 Her parents buried at Shiloh Baptist Church in Upson County, Georgia. She is the daughter of Lizzie Henry DOWNS Daniel b. August 20, 1874 d. July 22,1945 and Lennie Edward DANIEL b. August 26, 1876 d. November 9, 1949. She was the wife of Roy Haney. ==================== From The Thomaston Times---Monday, May 18, 1981: ROY HANEY THOMASTON--Roy Haney, age 77, of Crest Highway, Thomaston, died at Emory University Hospital on Saturday, May 16. Funeral services were held at Coggins Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 18 with Rev. Cooper Locke officiating. Interment was in Southview Cemetery. Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Haney was a retired employee of the B. F. Goodrich Co., Thomaston Division. He had lived in Upson County for 59 years. He is survived by one brother, John B. Haney of Thomaston; three sisters, Mrs. Nannie Smith of Atlanta, Mrs. Lois Mathews and Mrs. Ida Mae Coley, both of Thomaston; several nieces and nephews also survive. Roy HANEY b. Sept. 8, 1903 d.
