Culloden, Ga., May 10-

John J. Haygood, Sr., 71 of Culloden died at his home
after a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Wednesday
morning, conducted by Elder W. W. Childs of Yatesville,
Elder S. H. Whatley of Thomaston, and Rev. A. O. Baggerly
of the Culloden Methodist Church. Interment was in
Culloden Cemetery.

Mr. Haygood is survived by his wife, who was miss Lena
Bentley of Culloden; two daughters, Mrs. Emmett
Chatfield, Thomaston, and Mrs. George Mann of Culloden;
four sons, Grady of Forsyth, John J. Jr., Ben and Tom of
Culloden.
