Sometime ago he was stricken with Flu and was never able to recuperate from it. The funeral and burial of Mr. Jones occurred Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. from the Methodist Church. The exercises were conducted by Rev. S.R. England, pastor of Thomaston Methodist church. Many beautiful floral arrangements covered the casket as it lay in the Church attesting the affection and esteem of his friends which the dead man bore. The body was laid to rest in Glenwood Cemetery at the conclusion of the funeral rites. Mr. Jones was twenty-five years of age and a life long resident of this community. He was one of the family of 12 children, of which the following survive: J. C. Jones, Sr., Misses Mary and Nancy Jones of Thomaston, W.I. Jones of Shellman, Jerry Jones of AL. The deceased was preceded to the grave by five years by his wife who was Miss Signa Ora Stuart. He is survived by the following children. Misses Ora and Mae Jones, Mrs. Irma Parker, Messers O.W. Jones and G.L. Jones all of Thomaston. He leaves nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
