GA. June 17, 2002 David Jackson MOORE Funeral services for Mr. David Jackson Moore, 67, of Denham Street, were held Sunday, June 16, 2002 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Coggins Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Hemphill officiating. Burial followed in Crystal Hill Cemetery. Mr. Moore died Friday, June 14, 2002 at his residence. Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Moore was born in Taylor County, Ga. but lived most of his life in Upson County. He worked in the twister room at Martha Mills for over 40 years. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Eunice Pritchett of Thomaston; a son, Mr. Shane Moore of Thomaston; daughters, Mrs. Sherry Ledbetter of Thomaston and Mrs. Michelle Kladky of Sharpsburg; brothers, Mr. Fred Moore of Morrow and Mr. Ray Moore of Thomaston; and three grandchildren. Virginia Owens DAVIES Graveside services for Mrs. Virginia Owens Davies, 89, of Meansville, were held Monday, June 17, 2002 at 1 p.m. in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta with the Rev. Gary Kemp officiating. Mrs. Davies died Saturday, June 15, 2002 at Molena Nursing Home. Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Davies was born in Spalding County, Ga. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Atlanta Athletic Club and was a member of the Morrow Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Jane (Eddie) Busby of Meansville; a grandson, Mr. Jared Busby of Meansville; a granddaughter, Miss Lena Busby of Meansville; and several nieces and nephews. Clifford WILLIAMS Funeral services for Mr. Clifford Williams, 85, of Barnesville, will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the West Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with the pastor, Horace Fuller Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Williams died Thursday, June 13, 2002 at his residence. Doyle DICKENS Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Doyle Dickens, 74, of Zebulon, were held Sunday, June 16, 2002 at 2 p.m. in the Rehobeth Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. James D. Wilson and the Rev. Charles Moody officiating. Burial followed in the Moody Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Dickens died Friday, June 14, 2002 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Moody Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dickens was a lifelong resident of Pike County and a member of the Rehobeth Church of the Nazarene. He retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission in 1990 after 30 years of service. Mr. Dickens was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Kendall Dickens; his parents, Jackson Thurston Dickens and Rosa Lillian Brown Dickens; a nephew, Donnie Dickens; a brother, Aubrey Dickens; a sister, Martha Howard; and one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Thomas Singletary. Survivors include his sisters- and brothers- in-law, Loette Dickens of Zebulon, Bobbie Kendall of Meansville, Lois and Gerald George of Blairsville and Bobby and Marie Kendall of Lithonia; nieces and nephews, Marie and George Lane and Emory Dickens, all of Zebulon; Lindsey Howard of Grovetown and Sharon and Randy Fearing of Jacksonville, N.C.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Mrs. Woolf was a homemaker, a loving mother and "Nanny" to 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Woolf was preceded in death by her husband, John Woolf and step- son, Mike Woolf. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Edna Thompson NOTTINGHAM, 88, of Daytona, Fla. died Thursday, June 13, 2002 at Bayside Care Center in Daytona. Norma Marsh TRICE Graveside services for Mrs. Norma Marsh Trice, 92, of Highway 19 North, were held Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at 3 p.m. in the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. James Grier officiating. Mrs. Trice died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at Providence Health Care. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Trice was a native of Jones County, Ga. and a resident of Upson County since childhood. She reitred from the Twister room of Thomaston Mills and was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and Morning Star Chapter #370, Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Mr. Jake MAINES, 87, of Thomaston, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at Upson Regional Medical Center. Burial followed in Howard Cemetery. Mr. Butler died Friday, June 14, 2002 at his residence. Mr. Butler was a life-long resident of Talbot County and a member of Collinsworth Methodist Church. He worked for Martha Mills in Thomaston for 30 years and was a Marine veteran. Edwards Funeral Home of Butler was in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Butler of Talbotton; and a niece, Carolyn Taunton of Butler. Walter MINUTES Mr. Walter Minutes, 83, of Crescent Road, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at Christian Ministries Hospice in Griffin.
