We write this in memory of our loving brother, TOM, who departed this life Tuesday, July the 10th 1917. He left his home on Sunday afternoon to spend a few hours of pleasure at Barkers Springs. While enjoying himself the terrible accident came. He was taken to his Mother's home and given immediate attention. On Monday morning he was carried to the Hospital in Atlanta where he only lived till Tuesday morning at 3 o'clock when God saw fit to relieve him of his suffering. He was brought back and laid to rest in the Cemetery at Valley Grove church. While it seems so mysterious to us why God saw fit to take him, but it was for the best, for God makes no mistakes. But we are so thankful for the comforting words he spoke during his suffering "that he saw a better place and was going home." He leaves a wife, two children, father, mother, 4 brothers and two sisters and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death. Mrs. L. J.
