Mrs. Elizabeth Lewis died Monday night at the home of her son, Mr. D. W. Lewis, 
near Delray.  Several weeks ago Mrs. Lewis fell and substained the fracture of 
a limb.  This with other complications resulted in her death.
The funeral and burial took place at Shiloh Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, 
the exercises being conducted by Rev. J.T. Culpepper and attended by a large 
concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends.
Mrs. Lewis was one of the oldest and most beloved residents of the Delray 
community.  She was 96 years of age Oct. 1, 1916.
She leaves two children, Hon. D. W. Lewis of Delray and Mrs. G. W. Hightower, 
of Barnesville.  The deceased was a member of the Baptist church and had lived 
a consistent christian life.
To the bereaved relatives the Times extends the most profound sympathy on the 
part of the people of Upson County.
