Lee Jean, age 58, died May 18, 1985 Thomaston Times, Monday, May 20, 1985: J. Lee Jean Mr. J. Lee Jean, 58, of 419 West Allen Lane of Pinewood Subdivision was pronounced dead upon arrival at Upson County Hospital Saturday night, May 18, 1985. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, May 21, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with the Rev. Rocky Culpepper and the Rev. Jay Knight officiating. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be at 1 p.m. in Shadowlawn Cemetery in LaGrange. A native of Troup County, Mr. Jean had been a resident of Upson County for five years, was a cotton classer in the Martha Mills Division of the BFGoodrich Co. and was a naval veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucille Farmer Jean of Thomaston; two daughters, Mrs. Pamela Gutt of Atlanta; Miss Nancy Jean of Augusta; one son, Mr. Richard Lee Jean of Macon; his mother, Mrs. Susie McKee Jean of LaGrange; three brothers, Mr. Marvin H. Jean of LaGrange, Mr. Harold L. Jean of Atlanta and Mr. Horace D. Jean of Cordovia, Ala. One grandson also survives.
