Mr. James Madison Lyons, age 81, died at the
residence of his son, J. M. Lyons, Jr. in Yatesville
early Saturday morning, January 14.  Funeral
services was held Sunday afternoon from the
Yatesville Baptist church, Rev. Mays of Macon and
Rev. L. B. Harvey of Forsyth, officiating.
Interment was made in the family plot in New Hope
cemetery.

Mr. Lyons is survived by two sons, J. M. Lyons, Jr.,
of Yatesville and Mose Lyons of Concord, Ga., six
daughters, Mrs. George Carriker, Mrs. Sallie Green,
Mrs. John Perdue of Yatesville, Ga., Mrs. Charles
Adams, Concord, Ga., Mrs. Eddie Jackson,
Barnesville, Ga., and Mrs. Earle Bridgman, St.
Petersburg, Fla., and a number of grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
