McKenzie, an aged and much loved woman whose home was in Upson counta [sic], died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. M. Middlebrooks, on Zebulon street. She suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday, from which she was unable to rally, lingering until 2:30 Tuesday afternoon when she departed this life. Mrs. McKenzie was seventy two years old and had long lived a christian life, being a devoted member of the Methodist church. She had always lived in Upson county, where she had scores of friends amoung the people. The body of Mrs. McKenzie was carried to Antioch, near Thomaston, where the burial took place Thursday morning. The people of Barnesville extend their sympathy to Mrs. Middlebrooks and her family in their deep sorrow.
