Jeff Morgan officiating. Ms. Self died Monday, May 31, 2004. Coggins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Ms. Self was born in Pulaski County, Ga., but moved to Yatesville around 1972 and lived in the Thomaston area all of her adult life. She worked as an L.P.N. at Upson Regional Medical Center and area nursing homes for many years. Ms. Self was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Emmitt Lee Mathews, an infant brother, and her former husband, Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Self. Survivors include her daughters, Miss Heather Selph and Ms. Adrian Selph Dawson, both of Thomaston; her mother, Ms. E. Jean Baugh of Yatesville; a grandmother, Mrs. Alene Davis of Perry; a granddaughter, Miss Natalie Dawson of Thomaston; brothers, Mr. W. Lee Mathews and Mr. David Mathews, both of Yatesville; sisters, Ms. Laurie Mathews of Thomaston and Mrs. Lisa Mathews Greene of Ellaville; nieces Miss Amanda Mathews of Snellville, and Misses Meredith and Hannah Greene of Ellaville; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
