The many friends of Mrs. C. J. McDonald, of Yatesville will be grieved to learn of her death which occurred at her home Monday, April 7, 1924 at 6 o'clock A. M. Mrs. McDonald was Seventy-six years of age, having been born September 13, 1847 in Upson County, near Yatesville. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Jackson. In 1871, she married Mr. C. J. McDonald, a prominent framer of Upson County and has resided in or near Yatesville until the time of her death. Up until the time of her failing health, she was a tireless worker in her Church. In her Death the Yatesville Methodist Church Loses one of its most valued members. She is survived by her husband, Mr. C. J. McDonald, three daughters, Mrs. M. A. Dixon; Mrs. E. U. Ethridge,of Atlanta; Miss Etta McDonald; three sons, Mr. Dan Mcdonald; Mr. John B. McDonald and Mr. Charles McDonald of Birmingham, Ala; two sisters, Mrs. A. A. Crawford; Mrs, Joanna Holmes of Griffin; one brother, Mr. J. G. Jackson, also a sister-in-law Miss Helen McDonald, who has lived in her home for many years. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday morning conducted by the Pastor, Rev. Eubanks, assisted by Rev. W.W. Childs and Rev. G. A. Bartlett.
