M. McFarlin dead Mr. R. M. McFarlin died at his home at Yatesville Sunday after an illness of several months. His body was laid to rest at Yatesville Monday, the funeral excercises being conducted by Rev. W. W. Childs. The funeral was attended by a number of relatives and friends from all over the county. Mr. McFarlin was one of the county's oldest residents. Having been born on March 3,1838, he would have been 80 years of age at his next birthday, he had resided in this county all his life and was well known and highly respected by it's people. He was a Confedrate Veteran. While he had never united with the church he was of primitive baptist faith. The deceased lives a wife, Mrs. Mary F. McFarlin, and the following children: Mrs.Lizzie Hugaley, Mrs. Fannie Adams of Yatesville, Mrs. Mattie Johnson of Roberta, Mrs. Sallie Brown of Sycamore,Mrs. Emma Bently of Shellman, Mrs. Lola Filyou of Williamson, R. C. McFarlin, T. J. McFarlin of Yatesville, J. F. McFarlin of Macon. He leaves a brother, Mr. J. M. McFarlin of Yatesville. The bereaved wife and children have the sympathy of the people of this county in their sorrow.
