REV. J. R.  McMullen Dead
Rev. J. R. McMullen, pastor of the Presbyterian church of
this city, died in Atlanta after a brief illness. He was
stricken only a few days or so before his death and his
demise came as a great surprise of the people of this
city.

Mr. McMullen was pastor of the Presbyterian churches of
Thomaston, Barnesville and Forsyth and made his home in
Barnesville. He was 59 years of age and is survived by
his wife and four daughters, Mrs. C. G. Howard of Ft.
Paine AL., Mrs. A. W.  Rue of Alton, ILL., and misses
Charlotte and Margaret McMullen of Barnesville.

The funeral and burial of the remains occurred in
Barnesville Monday afternoon and were attended by large
delegations from Thomaston. Forsyth and other places.

The people of Thomaston extended their sympathy o the
bereaved family in their great loss.
