He was not run over or badly mangled, but knocked down the embankment. It is said that he was sitting on the cross-ties of the track with his hand, apparently asleep, when the train approached. He was knocked off the track and when found was in a dying condition. Moore was a young man and unmarried but leaves his parents and several brothers and sisters to mourn his tragic and untimely death. The remains were carried to his old home at Thomaston Monday where the funeral and interment was made. (Griffin Sun) The remains were interred at Atwater Monday morning, Rev. James Barron conducting the funeral services.
