Funeral services for Mr. William Pitt Head, age 66, of Barnesville, were 
conducted Tuesday, August 24 in Williams Chapel of Memories.  The Rev. Mack 
Driver officiated the service and the Rev. Horace Sheffield assisted.  William 
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.  Burial was in Head Family 
Cemetery.
Mr. Head died Monday, August 23, 1982 in the Upson County Hospital.  He was a 
lifelong resident of Lamar County, a retired merchant, and Veteran of World War 
11, having served in the U.S. Army.
Survirors include one son. Mr. W. Wade Head of Barnesville, two sisters; Mrs. 
James Boyers, and Mrs. Robert Holloway both of Thomaston.  A number of nieces 
and nephews also survive.
