Fletcher dorothy010@ameritech.net August 23, 2003, 6:09 pm Virginia Crilley Mr. J. D. Long, Sr., 79, of 7080 Crest Highway died late Monday afternoon, May 20, 1985, at the Upson County Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, May 22 in the Chapel of Pasley- Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Huckaby and Rev. Harley McLendon officiating. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Burial followed in Elkins Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Molena. A native of Upson County, Mr. Long has retird from Thomaston Mills in 1974 and was a member and deacon of Elkins Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Riggins Long of Molena, two daughters; Mrs. Inez Story of Laruinburg, S.C., and Mrs. Janie Lou Holloway of Thomaston. Five sons; J.D. Long, Jr., Alton, Willis, all of Molena, Tim of Columbus, and James of Smith Station, AL. Five sisters; Mrs. Fannie Lee Craven, Mrs. Aline Hill, and Mrs. Mae Teal all of Thomaston, Mrs. Grace Strickland of Molena, and Mrs. Bessie Huckaby of Griffin, and one brother, Mr. Allen Long of Molena.
