Fletcher dorothy010@ameritech.net August 23, 2003, 7:29 pm Virginia Crilley Mr. Russell Lunsford, 67, of 110 Meeks Terrace died Wednesday morning, March 25, 1987 at the Veternan Administration Medical Center in Decatur. Funeral services were held Friday, March 27, at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home. The Rev. John Autry officiated. Burial was held in Southview Cemetery. Pasley- Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Lunsford was a native of Newton County and had lived in Thomaston for the past 53 years. He was a self-employed paint contractor and was a veteran of World War 11, serving in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Gassett Lunsford of Thomaston, two sons; Kenneth and Rodney Lunsford, both of Thomaston, two sisters; Mrs. Eunice Teal and Mrs. Sara Shannon, both of Gastonia, N.C. Five brothers: James of Thomaston, Harold and Gene both of Willoughby, Ohio, Charles and Roger both of Gastonia, N.C. One grandson, Chris Lunsford of Thomaston also survives.
