Virginia Crilley

John Allen Lawrence, 73, of Triune Ave., died Sunday, Feb.23, in Upson County 
Hospital.  A life-long resident of Upson County, Mr. Lawrence was previously 
employed as a dragline operator with Hill Construction Company.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Taunton of Atlanta, a son Jerry 
Lawrence of Thomaston, two brothers; Render of Molena and Jack Lawrence of 
Woodbury, four sisters;  Mrs. Frances Black of Thomaston, Mrs. Sally Choate of 
Merridan, Miss., Miss Wilheimina Lawrence of Macon, and Mrs. Carolyn Pearnce of 
Coral Gable, Fl.  Two grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 24, at 2:00 in the Chapel of Coggins 
Funeral Home.  Rev. Dean Hemphill officiated and burial was in Molena Cemetery.
