Lloyd) Woodall Sr., 86, of Barnesville, in the Milner Cemetery Monday morning, Dec. 23, 1985 at 11:00a.m. The Rev. Mac Driver officiated. Mr. Woodall died in the Griffin- Spalding County hospital Saturday afternoon, Dec. 21. Graveside services were held in Milner Cemetery. Haisten Funeral Home of Barnesville was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Woodall was a native of Milner and had lived in Barnesville for many years. He was a graduate of Gordon Institute and attended Danville Military Institute in Danville. Mr. Goodall was awarded a scholarship to play college baseball for being an avid baseball fan. Mr. Woodall founded B. Lloyd's chain of pecan stores in 1929 with 25 stores in operation before World War 11. Of these stores one is in operation today in South Carolina and a large retail order and wholesale business is used in Barnesville. He had a booth at the World's Fair in New York in 1939. He was a member of and served as president of the Pecan Growers Association. Mr. Woodall served as president of S. Highway 41 Association and led a parade to Miami, Fl to Chicago, Ill. when it officially opened. He was a member and former resident of the Barnesville Rotary Club, a member of (maybe Pinta Lodge No. F.&A.M.,(too light too read......He was a former member of ?????//. He was a former member of ? of Trustees of Gordon Military College. He served as a member on the Board of Directors of First National Bank of Barnesville. Mr. and Mrs. Woodall celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 5. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Barnesville. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Clement Woodall of Barnesville, two daughters; Mrs. Barbara Ann Flournoy of Macon, and Mrs. Elizabeth Pogue of Clearwater, Fl., son Mr. B. Lloyd Woodal, Jr., of ?, S.C., one sister, Mrs. Sally ? Domingos of Milner. Five grandchildren also survive.
