Services for Bill Johnson, 73
Funeral services for W.C. (Bill) Johnson, 73, of Crest Road, were held 
Wednesday, June 26, at 3:00 in First United Methodist Church.  Dr. Harold Smith 
officiated assisted by Rev. W. C. Bowen.  Entombment was in Upson Memorial 
Gardens.
Mr. Johnson died June 24 in Upson County Hosptial.  He was a native of Webster 
County, but had resided in Upson County since 1933 and retired from the 
Department of Transportation in 1976 as a maintenance engineer.  He was a Navy 
Veteran of WW11, serving with the Seebees.  He was a member of the First United 
Methodist Church and a former member of the Thomaston Lions Club.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Janie Claire Ferguson Johnson, two 
sons; Neal Johnson of Thomaston, and Al Johnson of Lithonia, one sister, Mrs. 
Betty Johnson Robson of Mobile, Al, and two brothers; Luther(Buck) Johnson, of 
Preston. and James(Dick) Johnson, of Americus.  Two gransons and a 
granddaughter also survive.
Palsey-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
