Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Ruth McCard, 74, of 212 McCard Road, 
Thursday, June 25, 1987 at 2 p.m. at Coggins Chapel.  Mrs. McCard died Tuesday, 
June 23, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
The Rev. Bernard Peterman and Wilburn Rogers will officiate.  Burial will be 
held in Southview Cemetery.  Coggins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McCard was a resident of Upson for 42 years.  She was a carton packter at 
the Federal paperboard.
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Albert McCard of Thomaston, son, Mr. Leon 
McCard, of Atlanta, brother, Mr. Perry O. Strickland of Atlanta, three sisters: 
Mrs. Dorothy Carpenter of Atlanta, Mrs. Laura Mae Longshore of Griffin, Miss 
Bertha Strickland of Atlanta.
