Mr. Fred Grant
Mr. Fred Grant, 69, of 70 Mathis Lake Road died early Friday morning, Dec. 5 at 
the Upson County Hospital.  Funeral services wre held Sunday, Dec. 7, 1986 at 
2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home.
The Revs. Dean Hemphill and Billy Hester officiated.  Interment was held in 
Upson Memorial Gardens.  Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
Mr. Grant was a native of Upson County.  He retired from the Department of 
Transportation in 1977, was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church and an 
Army Verteran of World War 11.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nelle Self Grant of Thomaston, one daughter, 
Mrs. Sandra Grant Parks of Thomaston, two brothers; Mr. Paul Grant of Waycross 
and Mr. Perry Grant of Griffin.  Three grandchildren, Miss Lisa Parks and Mr. 
Tommy Parks, both of Thomaston, and Stg. Alan Parks of Augusta and one great-
grandson, Mr. Kyle Parks of Augusta.
