Final rites for Ben Ellis, 80
Funeral services for Ben Ellis, 80, of Denham Street, were held Thursday, June 
27, at 2:00 in East Thomaston Baptist Church.  Rev. John Autry officiated and 
burial was in Southview Cemetery.
Mr. Ellis died late Tuesday afternoon. June 25 at his residence.  He was born 
in Johnson County and had resided in Upson since 1935.  He retired as a hair 
stylist after working 65 years.  Mr. Ellis was a member of East Thomaston 
Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucille Phillips Ellis, a daughter, Mrs. Peggy 
Morgan of Thomaston, and a son, Benny Ellis of Thomaston, two brothers;  Felton 
Ellis of Port Wentworhh, Ga., and Elton Ellis of Flagstaff, Az.  Two 
grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in Charge of arrnagemetns.
