Thomaston Times - Friday, July 19, 1946

PHILMON
  Mr. Lewis Philmon age 36 died suddenly Saturday night July 13 after being 
hit by an auto on the Highway south.  Funeral services were held Monday 
afternoon at three o'clock from Little Bethel Church, Ideal, Ga.  Rev. 
Childree officiating.  Interment was in the church cemetery.  He is survived 
by his mother, Mrs. J. L. Philmon, Wife and two small children Joyce and 
Homer.  Five sisters, Mrs. Berta Mae Benford; Mrs. Bertha Brown, Mrs. Mary 
Alice Stewart, Mrs. Hattie Belle Howard and Mrs. Annie J. Stewart.  Four 
brothers William; Charlie; Samuel and James Philmon.
