Mrs. Ruth Sullivan Edwards
Yatesville----Mrs. Ruth Sullivan Edwards, age 88, of Yatesville, Ga., died at 
the Griffin-Spalding County Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, March 24.  Funeral 
services will be held at the Yatesville United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on 
Thursday, March 26 with Elder C. J. Benfield officiating and Rev. Owen E. 
Kellum, Jr. assisting.  Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery in Yatesville.  
Palsey-Fletcher Funeral Home  is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Edwards was born  in Pike County.  She was a member of the Friendship 
Presbyterian Church in Concord, Ga.  In early years, she taught piano lessons 
and was office secretary for Smith Bros. Nursery in Concord.  She was Past 
President of Yatesville Woman's Club.  She was a member of the Yatesville home 
Demostration Club and served at pianist of the Yatesville United Methodist 
Church for 30 years.  She is the widow of the late H. Preston Edwards.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Roy Littleton of Griffin, one brother, W. 
B. Sullivan of Richmond, Va., one sister, Mrs. J. B. Cook, Conyers, one 
granddaughter, Miss Amy Ruth Littleton of Griffin.
