Fletcher dorothy010@ameritech.net September 27, 2003, 11:04 am Virginia Crilley Mrs. Julian Jackosn Thomaston--Funeral services for Mrs. Julian Jackson, aged 80, were held on Saturday, September 1, at the Yatesville Baptist Church with Elder C. J. Benfield and Rev. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment was in the Yatesville Methodist Church Cemtery with Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Jackson died on Friday, August 31, at the Bolingreen Nursing Home. She was a native of Jones County, Ga., but had lived in Upson County for the past 50 years. She was a Past President of the Yatesville Home Demonstration Club, Past President of the Upson County G.E.A., selected Woman of the Year in Upson County in 1968 by the Home Demonstration Club, retired in 1974 after 50 years teaching elementary school, and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Soroity, and was a member of the Yatesville Baptist Church. She is survived by one brother, Mr. D. E. Hardin of Milledgeville, and one sister, Mrs. Thelma Watts of Macon. A number of neices and nephews also survive.
