Thomaston Times – Monday, June 16, 1986

  Funeral services were held for Mr. John Calvin Reeves Sr., 82, of Culloden 
Sunday, June 15 at 3:30 p.m. at Olive Grove Baptist Church.  Mr. Reeves died 
Wednesday, June 11, 1986 at his residence.
  The Rev. R.L. Hodo officiated.  Burial was held in the church cemetery.  
Bentley’s & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
  Mr. Reeves is survived by five sons, Mr. John Calvin Reeves Jr., Mr. Isaac 
Reeves and Mr. Henry Reeves, all of Thomaston, Mr. Lenward Reeves and Mr. Amos 
Reeves, both of Detroit, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Howard and Mrs. 
Annette Blasingame both of Roberta, Mrs. Lillie Maud Young of Jamica, N.Y. and 
Mrs. Mattie Blasingame of Chicago, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Viola Reeves of 
Albany; one brother, Freddie T. Reeves of Roberta.  Thirty-one grandchildren 
and 37 great-grandchildren also survive.
