John J Foster Dead

     Mr. John J Foster, a well known Confederate Veteran, died at his home near 
Foster’s graveyard in northwestern part of Upson County last Friday.  He was 
born in Jasper County, November 2, 1833

     He enlisted in Company D. Second Georgia Regiment in 1863 in Thomaston.  
He drew his first pension in 1905.
