Killed at Grey’s Ferry

John Rush was killed by Jerry Walker at Grey’s Ferry in Upson County on 
Thursday Nov. 24th.  John Rush is said to be a noted gambler, and we learn had 
recently killed a negro in Alabama.  Jerry Walker at the time of the killing 
had charge of the flat at the ferry.  Rush came up and proposed a game of cards 
and in this way Walker made his escape.
