Mrs. Etta Garner, 70
Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Maud Garner, 70, of 147 G Circle, were held 
Saturday morning, February 21, at 11:00 in the First United Pentecostal 
Church.  Rev. L.R. Brock and Dr. Rex King officiated and interment was in Upson 
Memorial Gardens.  Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home was in charge of the 
arrangements.
A native of Pike County, Mrs. Garner had lived in Upson County for the past 42 
years.  She died Thursday morning, February 19 at Emory University Hospital in 
Atlanta.
Mrs. Garner is survived by two daughters;  Mrs. Betty Short and Mrs. Jeanette 
Fleming, both of Thomaston, three sons: Ray, Jerry, and Lamar Garner, all of 
Thomaston, two sisters;  Mrs. Lois Butler, of Griffin, Mrs. Etelene Weinkles, 
of Thomaston, and one brother, Ernest Garner of Griffin.  Fifteen grandchildren 
and three great-grandchildren also survive.
