Hill vjbhill@alltel.net July 16, 2003, 7:56 pm Thomaston Times, March 2001 WILLIAM TRAVIS BRODNAX, JR October 7, 1920--March 18, 2001 EUFAULA,AL- Mr. William Travis "Billie" Brodnax, Jr., 80, of Eufaula, Al, died Sunday, March 18, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be today at 2:00 p.m. at Pasley-Fletcher Chapel with Reverend Mike Turner officiating. Burial will take place today in South View Cemetery, in Thomaston, Ga. Mr. Brodnax was born October 7, 1920 in Chattahoochee County, Ga, the son of the late William Travis Brodnax, Sr., and Mary Lou Smith. He was retired from the Department of Defense with the United States Air Force in 1966. After the Air Force he worked with the William Carter Company in Barnesville where he retired in 1978. Mr. Brodnax had lived in Eufaula, Al, since 1981. Survivors include his wife, Margie Alsobrooks Brodnax, of Eufaula, Al; one daughter, June Philips, of Eufaula, Al; two sons, Bentley Clemons, Barnesville, Ga, Andy Clemons, Dawsonville, Ga; one sister, Joan Hill, Thomaston, Ga; two brothers, Harold Brodnax, Opelika, Al, Carlton Brodnax, Thomaston, Ga; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
