Oliver, age 79, a retired engineer, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Genie Payton of Thomaston. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Payton, Mrs. Bessie Atkins and Mrs. Nellie Bramblett, and five sons, J. W. Oliver, Jr., H. W. Oliver, J. R. Oliver, F. R. Oliver and E. R. Oliver. Interment was held in Hill Cemetry, East Point. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mr. John Wm. Oliver, age 79, passed away at his daughter, Mrs. T. R. Peyton, residence in Silvertown early Saturday evening September 17, 1932. He leaves three daughters, Mrs. J. C. Bramblett of Alpharetta, Mrs. Ernest Atkins of College Park and Mrs. T. R. Peyton of Silvertown, five sons, Messers John and Edgar Oliver of Hapeville, Jim Oliver of Rockmart, Herbert Oliver of Eatonton and Fred Oliver of Griffin, twenty-eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. The remains was carried to College Park, Ga., for funeral interment. The funeral was held at the Gate City Methodist Church with Rev. John McElroy officiating. Interment was held in Hill Crest cemetery at East Point, Ga.
