Pate, age 70, died September 13, 1985 Thomaston Times, Monday, September 16, 1985: Mr. Harry G. Pate Funeral services were held for Mr. Harry G. Pate, 70, of 421 4th Avenue, at the chapel of Pasley- Fletcher Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 15, 1985, at 4 p.m. Mr. Pate died Friday afternoon, Sept. 13, at Clearview Nursing Home. The Rev. Dean Hamphill and Dr. Robert M. Hoffmann officiated. Burial was held at South View Cemetery. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral was in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pate was a native of Henry County. He was a resident of Macon for several years before moving to Upson County to make his home for over 35 years. Mr. Pate was a retired construction electrical lineman and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of King's Chapel Baptist Church, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Griffin Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leona Daniel Pate of Thomaston; four step-daughters, Mrs. Birdie Bennett and Mrs. Christine Salter, both of Thomaston, Mrs. Louise Woodall of Butler and Mrs. Alline Radcliff of Los Angeles, Ca.; one brother, Mrs. J.B. Pate of Decatur. Thirteen grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
