To The Memory of Shelby Pitts

  When on the afternoon of July 23, having finished his days work and together with is mother and brother were leaving for their home, little did he or his loved ones or friends dream of the awful Catastrophe which was just ahead of them; and as the seriousness of the accident was revealed, and the message was carried from home to home, that little Shelby Pitts, the eleven year old son of Mr. & Mrs. E.B. Pitts had been killed almost instantly by a truck passing over his body, the hearts of everyone were stricken to their deepest depths.
