Death Claims Mrs. Pasley, Rites Tuesday
Final rites for Mrs. Emma Ogletree Presley, 80, were
held Tuesday morning at 11 o’clock from the Chapel
of Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford
Bradshaw and Rev. Robert Akins officiating.  Burial
was in South View Cemetery.

Mrs. Presley died Sunday at Bolingreen Nursing Home.
She was the widow of the late J. E. Presley, Sr. who
served as County Commissioner.  Mrs. Presley resided
in Thomaston for the past 49 years and made here
home at 511 East Lee Street.

Survivors include five daughters:  Mrs. Ross
McDonald, Albany, Mrs. J. T. Slater, Mrs. Forrest
Corley, Mrs. Shelly James, and Mrs. Walter Daniel,
all of Thomaston.  Five sons:  Lewis, of Roberta,
Nolan, Emmett, J. E.  and Luther B. all of
Thomaston.   One sister, Mrs. Clara Moore, Griffin,
and twenty-four grandchildren, sixteen great
grandchildren,  and one great great  grandchild also
survive.
