James E. Presley, Jr., 62

Funeral services for Mr. James E. Presley, Jr., 62,
of 1143 Triune Mill road, were held Friday, April
20, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. at Emory’s Chapel Baptist
Church.  Rev. James A. Coogler, Rev. Joe Allen, and
Rev. Clark Abbott officiated and interment was at
South View Cemetery.  Mr. Presley died Wednesday
night, April 18, at Upson Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Presley was a native of Upson County.  He was
employed by the Upson County road Department and was
a member of Emory’s Chapel Baptist Church. He is
survived by wife, Mrs. Hazel C. Presley, of
Thomaston, daughters:  Mrs. Bill (Kathy) Morgan and
Mrs. Kennedy (Julie) Owen, both of Thomaston, son,
Mr. James E. Presley 111, of Thomaston, step sons,
Mr. Timothy W. Chagnon of Barnesville, Mr. James D.
Chagnon, of Zebulon, and Mr. Richard E. Chagnon of
Thomaston, sisters, Mrs. Ross ( Lillian) McDonald,
Mrs. Forrest  ( Mary) Corley, Mrs. Shelly ( Frances)
James, and Mrs. Walter ( Shirley) Daniel, all of
Thomaston, brothers:  Mr. Nolan O. Presley, Mrs.
Emmett Presley, and Mr. Luther B. Presley, all of
Thomaston.  Seven grandchildren and 5 step-
grandchildren also survive. Pasley-Fletcher Funeral
Home was in charge of the arrangements.
