M. Rambo who met a tragic death on Tuesday evening, June 17th. We deem the composition remarkable for a child of his age. It was written as he sat by the casket of his father and reads as follows; "Mr. G. M. Rambo who was living in Thomaston. He started out in a sport model, solid wheel Dodge. He and Mr. A. L. Jones were going to Griffin. They saw uncle Perry and Uncle Isaah and got in the car with them which was a nash. They started out, and Uncle Perry was driving. They had started after a Dodge truck when they got about 10 miles from Griffin, a car was in front of them and he was on the left side of the road. He started to pass him when another machine started toward him. A lady was driving and a man was in the car with her. The man said, step on it and the lady did so. When she did, it made it give a jump to the left. Uncle Perry turned toward a field to the left and the car went off the bank, turned over three times and broke Mr. G. M. Rambo's neck and smashed Mr. A.L. Jone's chest. Two were killed and two were hurt. Uncle Isaah was smothering to death when some people came and pulled him from under the car, and rushed them to the Hospital. It was no use though for Mr. Rambo was killed. They telephoned Thomaston, Ga and told the news. I was out in my tent and heard mother and grandmother crying and went running in the house and they told me. We got ready and went to Griffin. We saw Mr. A. L. Jones. Mother told them to take Mr. Rambo to the hospital and embalm him. By the time they got through with him it was three o'clock and they brought him home in the coffin and there he lays. He died on Tuesday, June 17th, and was buried Friday June 20th. Tom Rambo
