                  Services Held Wednesday For Sgt. D. E. Starley
 Funeral services for 39 years old Air Force Segeant who was killed in a truck 
accident June 11 on the island of Formosa were held Wednesday morning with full 
military honors.
 T/Segeant David E. Starley, a former Upsonian who was serving with the Air 
Force, was killed in a truck accident June 11 at Taiwan, Formosa. Funeral 
services were held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from the Silvertown Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Gwenn McCormick officiating. Burial was in Southview 
Cemetery with Pasley Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
 Segeant Starley is survived by his wife, Mrs. David E. Starely, Clarkesville, 
Tenn.; two daughters, Bonnie Ann and Wilett Starley, both of Clarkesville, 
Tenn.; one son, David E. Starley Jr., Clarkesville, Tenn.; father, M. M. 
Starley, Dublin; one sister, Mrs. Marie Porter, Barnwell, SC; six brothers, 
Jesse and B. F. Starley, both of Thomaston, M/Segeant Prentice Starley, 
Columbus, Alva and Harold Starley, both of Dublin, and Marvin Starley, Macon.



Additional Comments:
David was born 28 Jul 1917 to Mark M. Starley and Anne E. David Starley who are 
buried in Buckhorn Methodist Church in Laurens County, Ga. David's wife, Ella 
Mae Ussery Starley is also buried in Southview Cemetery.
